Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robotic vacuum cleaners and mops are the best method of quickly cleaning up messes. The top robot vacuums and mops I've tested come with top-quality mapping and navigation as well as the ability to remove Cheerios wires, tangled wires and fake dog turds without leaving them behind.
You can also schedule cleaning chores through an app and monitor their progress.
1. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
If you're looking for the best robot vacuum and mop combination that has cutting-edge features, take a look at the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This high-end model is incredibly fast and nimble and can pick up dirt such as hair from pets and human hair almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also comes with a stylish app interface with a mini map of your home and some on-screen buttons for manual control.
remote hoover enables it to change the cleaning mode according to the level of dirt. It will pause and wash its mopping pad more frequently when it encounters dust while prioritizing carpeted areas to be mopped with a damp pad.
The mop's roller has a number of other smart features, such as docks that connects to your home plumbing system to wash and clean it without having to manually refill the mop. With the built-in voice assistant in the S8 it is possible to use voice commands to control room cleaning modes and the ability to control granular settings using only your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
If you're looking for a hands-free robot vacuum that has mopping capabilities The Yeedi Cube is one of the more versatile choices. It's one of many combo robot vacuums with mopping features that are also priced lower than other models.
Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube requires a little amount of work to start, including setting up an account with the app of the manufacturer and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once you've completed this, the robot will begin to vacuum and mop with ease.
It's worth noting that the mapping process can take a while and it could take a few times before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate image of your space. The object detection feature is hit-and-miss. It was able to skirt around furniture and other obstacles, however, it got stuck on a rug with tassels and required a flip to release itself. These are minor flaws and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those who need an appliance that can do everything.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its mopping technology is advanced and features the ability to rotate in a manner similar to hand scrubbing, which results in floors that are actually cleaned and not just being swept. The vacuum stick that can be detached is a game changer that can reach areas where robot vacuums cannot.
This model is basically the same as the popular X2 Omni, but with an a bit higher suction capacity of 8700Pa, and a few additional smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor can learn your home's surroundings better and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. The app's smart features allow you to customize a number of settings including AI cleanings and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping by having both the robot vacuum and mop returning to their charging base after each job to wash their pads and empty their dust bins, and place debris into a self-sealing bag. This helps keep the system clean and also stops allergens from circulating. The battery's life is enough to clean large areas without requiring an additional charge during cleaning.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the more expensive robot vacuum and mop models, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for its price. It comes with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power, a rotating brush for hard and carpet floors and an excellent obstacle avoidance. It also has a unique mopping system, which uses a roller continuously filled with water to pick up dirt and deposit it in the dirty water tank.
Its navigation system performed well. It avoided the stairs and was able to navigate close to walls without falling. It had trouble with small particles and did not always clear the raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise level is also quite high, so this model may not be as easy to set and forget as others.
As with most robotic vacuums and mop cleaners, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that can replenish its clean water and empty its dust bin and mop pad, as well as wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance easier and lets the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors in accordance with a regular schedule. Eufy's app lets you control all its functions. It gives you an easy overview and a variety of options for configuration.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the most premium robot mowers and vacuums available, and offers impressive mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor can recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with good precision, and the app lets users fine-tune map coverage, create no-go zones, and modify cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush is designed to stop hair from wrapping itself around it. This can be an issue for many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that rotate at 180 RPM while applying upward pressure of up to 12N. The mopping system also incorporates intelligent carpet detection, which lifts the pads up when they're in proximity to soft surfaces to prevent contamination of them with.
The docking station is an automated maintenance center that is able to wash and dry the mops, then refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station also features integrated dust processing that compacts dust for 7 weeks of uninterrupted operation, unlike traditional robot vacuums that empty their dust bins each time they have to be empty.
6. S10
This robot is just a few hundred dollars more than the S8 and does a fantastic job of keeping my office tidy. It also has the ability to reach the corners of my tiny apartment. It uses laser mapping and a camera to make an image of your space, so it knows which areas to avoid. It has an object/obstacle detector that can avoid things like dog bowls and toys (but not the poop), unlike many vacuums.
Other great features include a self emptying dustbin and a mop that is self-washing, adjustable for water temperature and a side-reaching mops that can reach areas that other mops miss. You can also alter the settings for each room and create cleaning schedules.
Like the S8, it has multi-room smart mapping and can differentiate between laminate, carpets and hardwood rugs with high-pile. If you're looking to save time, it will avoid mopping rooms that aren't dirty. It's a great choice if you have a mix of flooring in your home and do not want to invest the money to buy a Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a versatile robot vacuum and mop that is able to handle regular maintenance and touch-ups on messy messes that are wet, this robot is a good choice. It has a range of features that include a self-emptying dustbin, a separate dock for refilling water, and adjustable settings that can be adjusted via the app. It is surprisingly quiet and can easily maneuver around furniture legs or socks. However, it can't take care of the tangled tassels of rugs and it's battery drains slightly faster than other models we tested in our tests.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerhouse that offers powerful suction and convenient automation in a sleek. It wasn't as efficient as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests for vacuuming however, it did very well. It has a variety of cleaning modes, from the low power 'Quiet mode which is suitable for small debris to the incredibly powerful "Turbo mode" for carpeted areas. It even has the ability to remove and reconnect the mop pads, and not leave your carpets soaked.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum that can be used even in small areas. It's quiet and quick and does a great job of maneuvering around tight spaces. It also does a nice job of getting pet hair out of carpeting.
It's smaller than many of its competitors however it doesn't compromise features. It has good suction power and can be configured to take pictures of every object it picks (i.e. chew toys, socks), and mark them in the app as "not located' so that they are not taken up in subsequent cleanings. Its photos are encrypted, and are not tied to your account.
It's great for vacuuming, but it's not so well in mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes that you clip onto the bot's bottom, and then it drags them around the floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal, which come with water reservoirs that automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
